An IKYA Doula™ offers an expanded doula service that is completely unique in the world. An IKYA Doula™ works to facilitate the incarnation process in a larger context, where deep healing and growth becomes possible for the whole family.
Many expecting parents today want a more conscious and spiritual relationship to their pregnancy. An IKYA Doula™ can follow you right from the start, already from before conception through the whole pregnancy, birth and all phases until the child reaches adulthood. You will have the opportunity to come in deeper contact with both your own and the child’s Atma (soul) and will experience a deep communication that for many is suprisingly concrete and clear.
To have a child is nature’s greatest miracle. All cultures in the world have had traditions for caring for the mother through pregnancy and birth. These caretakers have had responsibility for bringing women into the mysteries of womanhood and to be bearers of wisdom about the physical and spiritual process in pregnancy.
IKYA Doula™ builds on old traditions adapted to our modern time. We combine spiritual and holistic functions with modern medical expertise. An IKYA Doula™ is thoroughly capable of facilitating the entire incarnation process in a larger context that allows for work on deeper growth and healing processes for the whole family.
An IKYA Doula™ is uniquely skilled to care for and guide the woman, her partner and the whole family comfortably through the entire process, from before conception through pregnancy to birth and all the way to the child’s adulthood. An IKYA Doula™ is also qualified to support the midwife and doctor and gives an added sense of security to the parents. In different phases, an IKYA Doula™ uses different approaches based in the IKYA methodology, including IKYA balancing, therapeutic coaching and guidance, therapeutic touch and massage, and dietary advising. The IKYA Doula™ always customizes this assistance and guidance based on individual need.
Before pregnancy
Preparing for conception can be a loving, exciting and educational journey. An IKYA Doula™ helps you both to facilitate this process. In this phase, the doula offers treatments based in IKYA methodology, including coaching in couples dynamics, exercises that energetically harmonize the couple, and guidance around nutrition and detoxing.
An IKYA Doula™ assists the couple to become more cohesive and to strengthen their bonds as a couple and a team. In a relationship, many of our programmings and experiences from childhood are activated. In working with the doula, the couple’s own patterns and dynamics will be addressed, and the doula raises awareness and guides the pair in how they can together create an arena for growth and healing.
The IKYA Doula™ also assists with increasing awareness of nutrition, attitude, thoughts and feelings to optimize the body’s chemistry. The parents’ bodies and their condition will affect the child and its starting point in life. Everything we think, feel and eat affects us physically, hormonally and therby emotionally. New research shows that traumas affect the man’s sperm, and this effect can be passed on for generations. One’s general condition affects the child, too, not simply traumas. Working with the body’s chemistry and condition is critical to optimizing the child’s conception, both for the child’s sake and the parents’.
During pregnancy
During pregnancy, an IKYA Doula™ will work with the entire landscape in which the incarnation process occurs and will use different tools in the IKYA methodology to assist and facilitate, which harmonizes the whole process. The parents can experience strong communication with the child. Our experience is that the parents come in contact with both the child and a powerful love energy during the pregnancy. The entire pregnancy can be experienced as a spiritual journey filled with love and healing.
The IKYA Doula™ will assist the child in its process and help the mother and father or partner to open themselves and participate actively during the pregnancy and birth. We focus on that each in the family has a function, whether mother, father, sibling or others. In the couple’s relationship, we raise the consciousness of both parties as equals, and the father or partner of the mother can experience as strong a connection to the child as the mother does. The IKYA Doula™ will prepare the couple for the birth and guide and raise awareness about the roles of the mother and father. The doula helps them to become confident in their skills such that they can enjoy every moment of the pregnancy and the coming birth process.

After birth and through all phases til the child reaches adulthood
In this phase, the IKYA Doula™ primarily guides the parents in becoming more aware of their roles as parents and how they can best assist their child. The IKYA Doula™ can also raise the entire family’s awareness of and assist in processing the karmic learning the family has now begun. The parents may uncover patterns and programmings from their own childhoods as a way to create a freer learning space for their child. The IKYA Doula™ will provide guidance in using the family arena as one for growth and healing.

Many children who incarnate today are of a higher consciousness and will be among those who bring the world to the next level. Many of those who engage the services of an IKYA Doula™ are parents of children with higher levels of consciousness. To be born into this world is a shock that leaves a lasting effect on a child's development and identity. The collective consciousness and birthing process will program the child according to its collective karma and can create limitations. An IKYA Doula™ will establish a totally different space, one in which the child can retain its consciousness and uniqueness without being influenced by shock and collective karma and thereby remain more open and connected to its higher consciousness and function. IKYA sees this role as the most important part of the doula’s work.
An IKYA Doula™ works with the child, the parents, the family and all involved in the child’s incarnation, including those outside the incarnation who may guide and assist. An incarnation is an arena for study, growth, healing and realization processes for both the child and the entire family, and we facilitate the entire incarnation process to ensure that the child’s introduction to the world is as harmonious and optimal as possible.
